The first time Carter met Paige’s family, we all went to Sinema for brunch.
When Carter proposed, it was after Paige’s birthday dinner (at Sinema!).
So when it came time to choose a location for our nuptials, we did our due diligence but quickly came back to the place where so many good things happened (including all the great food and tasty cocktails!).
It’s a beautiful space. What was once an old movie theater has been renovated into a fantastic restaurant with a grand entry, spiral staircase, and a lounge upstairs. Think “Old Hollywood” meets Art Nouveau meets seasonal cuisine, all with a modern twist or two. We’re letting the venue decor inform the ceremony and reception a bit, so if there’s any kind of theme, that would be it.
We decided to ask all the kids on both sides of the family – Carter’s son and younger daughter, and Paige’s eight (8!!!) nieces and nephews – to play the prominent roles in the ceremony (well, aside from officiating). We can’t think of a better representation of unconditional love, joy, vitality, and LIFE than that.
Get fancy with it, have fun with it, and we can’t wait to see you there!
Paige is wearing a custom red wedding dress, and Carter will (hopefully!) wear his Superman Converse with his suit, so… anything goes!
There will be a free valet service available from 5:30-10:30pm, and gratuity will be taken care of ahead of time to make it easy! There is parking around the venue, but it can get a little tricky. Maybe not as much on a Sunday night, but this is Music City USA, after all, so you never know. Carpooling is recommended; otherwise, Lyft is a great option if you don’t feel like dealing with driving or parking at all.
Family should arrive by 5pm for early photos; all others are invited to arrive around 5:30-6pm. The ceremony will start at 6:30pm, and the reception will go from 7-10pm with one of the BEST things to cap it off: sparklers! Or maybe bubbles! Bubbles and sparklers??
There are a few bars and restaurants in the general vicinity – like, on the same block – if you’re at all interested in a pre-game drink or snack, or if you want to go out and boogie the night away after the festivities. The Sutler, M.L. Rose, Melrose Billiards are all within a block of Sinema… just to name a few.
